The Honourable Senator Patterson introduced Bill S-242, An Act to amend the Radiocommunication Act.

The bill was read the first time.

The Honourable Senator Patterson moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Wallin, that the bill be placed on the Orders of the Day for a second reading two days hence.

That, in accordance with subsection 39(1) of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act (S.C. 2005, c. 46), the Senate approve the reappointment of Mr. Joe Friday as Public Sector Integrity Commissioner for a term of 18 months.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
